Profit is not the sole purpose of stewardship. But neither can profitability simply be ignored. Income pays for fencing. It repairs water systems. It buys machinery. It pays workers. It maintains tracks. It allows trees to be planted and animals to be cared for. Financial resilience makes long-term ecological stewardship possible.
